I like very clean lines and eschew fussiness at all times (at least I try to!) but detail in a scheme helps to give it depth and interest. These images show how detail can work with simplicity.

I'm always on the lookout for new ideas and I loved the Mulberry leather tie-backs illustrated - if you were stuck I'm sure that you could convert them into a scrumptious belt! They are a tiny wee bit extravagant - but sure, to hell with poverty as they say in my neck of the woods!

The silk voile from Brian Yates is suspended from a knotted rope loop which, I felt, really reflected the seaside location of the project, the lovely lady who makes my curtains, however, may have some other, possibly x rated, thoughts on the subject!

The lamp with the single strand of twisted willow and the innovative fabric picture above it give focus and colour to a fairly blank wall - the fabric picture also manages to tie together all the colour strands used in that scheme - yes, we are in Donegal again!
